Kindness Kampaign’s World Kindness Day Grant: Nominate a Non-Profit

In celebration of World Kindness Day, the Kindness Kampaign is awarding a $1,000 grant to a non-profit organization whose work and an inspiring story reflect the power of compassion, generosity, and human connection.

We believe kindness is more than a moment — it’s a catalyst. This grant honors a non-profit that demonstrates how a single act of empathy can inspire lasting impact in their community.

How to Participate:

Submit an original essay nominating a specific non-profit organization. The essay must respond to the prompt below, using a specific, impactful story to demonstrate how the organization embodies kindness in its mission. One recipient non-profit will be selected based on the essay's authenticity, clarity, and the lasting ripple effect of the story.

In 750 words or fewer, share a moment or instance where the non-profit you are nominating demonstrated extraordinary kindness, compassion, or generosity that directly resulted in a significant positive change.

  • What non-profit are you nominating?

  • What happened? Describe the specific act of kindness.

  • What was the impact? Explain how this moment shaped the lives of those involved or the community.

  • How does this story reflect the non-profit's larger mission?

Eligibility:

  • Open to individuals of all ages submitting on behalf of a non-profit.

  • The nominated organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) (or equivalent registered non-profit status).

  • Essays must be original, previously unpublished, and submitted by the deadline listed below.

Award:

One nominated non-profit organization will receive a $1,000 grant to support their mission and community-driven goals. The grant check will be made payable directly to the organization.
